Cleaning Your Scan: An excerpt from Photoshop for Designers

From time to time we all have to work with troublesome scans. In this excerpt from our Photoshop for Designers workshop Sherry demonstrates how to fix a scan of a flower sketch using levels and the blur tool.

Sherry’s next Photoshop for Designers workshop begins on Monday, September 11, 2017, and includes all the important aspects of working in Photoshop. Grab your spot here.

  2. Glad you think so Myriam–we agree! Sherry is an amazing teacher and packs a ton of information into this course.

  3. So glad you enjoyed it Elizabeth! (The full Photoshop for Designers course has 60 more of Sherry’s highly informative videos!) 😉

  4. Wow. I thought I kew quite some tricks for this problem but this tutorial brings it to a more professional and efficient 😉 level. I thought the Photoshop course wasn’t for me (thought I knew much allready ;)). But I might reconsider :). Thank you for sharing. It was very helpfull!

  6. I would love to sign up for this course- but only have Photoshop CS4.
Would this be O.K. for this course?

  7. Hi Bronwyn, Sherry, who teaches the course, says that CS4 is fine. It has most of the features we are using. If you get stuck, you can download the free Creative Cloud demo for 30 days and work back and forth to see the differences and ask Sherry if there are issues. There is a day or two with info on content aware fills later on in the course, which would not apply to CS4, but otherwise I don’t think that there will be a problem at all!
