Portland Paper City 2011

These amazing paper pieces are all part of the Portland Paper City exhibit which ends tomorrow(go!) at Disjecta. Local artists crafted paper works that were inspired by Portland, Oregon. I was blown away by what people came up with! The mountain, by Marisa Green and Peter Bogart, was absolutely amazing and of course I loved the oversized roses by Marisa Green, Jessie Bazata, and Emily Engdahl. Another favorite was this adorable pop-up book by Jessica Vollendorf. I love to paint and draw, but I am a nut with paper and scissors so I was super impressed with the time and precision that must have gone into these pieces. I can’t wait to see what people come up with next year! Thanks to Laura Jennings for the beautiful photography, you can check out more of her work here. I hope this inspires a little craft time over the weekend, have a great one!

  1. These photos are spectacular!!!! I wish I could recreate these looks for a dinner party, I would be queen of all dinner parties!! Haha 😉

I love the comment you left on my giveaway, removing the straps on the tote makes it really easy to wash! I never thought of that! Thnx 😉
