Julia Galecka grew up in Poland and attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, then spent many years working as a graphic designer. After she experienced digital burnout, she took time off to pick up her long-lost paints and brushes and reconnected with creating work on paper. She realized she was living her childhood dream of living in nature and painting. This passion led her to surface design, a career where her childhood dreams and professional degree can be used in tandem. She now creates all of her artwork by hand and spends the last few steps digitizing her art for custom home decor products like wallpaper, wall art, ceramics, and fabric.
Julia is fascinated by how patterns affect our well-being. She carefully considers the design principles with each project, intending to bring harmony and joy into every space.
