Pattern Observer is a leading blog and online community for textile and surface pattern designers. At Pattern Observer, we strive to help designers grow their textile design businesses through our informative articles, interviews, tutorials, and our private design community, The Textile Design Lab. As a result, members of our tight-knit community are continually improving their craft, learning new techniques, staying informed with the most up-to-date styles, and making their artwork more profitable.
We are currently seeking a contract Project Administrator to join our small, remote team. If you are highly detail-oriented, rarely make typos, and never miss a meeting, this might be the role for you!
Responsibilities
- Oversee Pattern Observer’s daily functions to ensure our team meets deadlines and offers our members an outstanding community experience.
- Manage content scheduling, publishing, and promotion. Our content includes, but is not limited to blog posts, courses, and live training recordings.
- Coordinate with guest writers, mentors, and designers who collaborate with Pattern Observer on blog posts, live training sessions, and social media takeovers.
- Scheduling and moderating weekly Zoom calls
Skills
- Tech-savvy and comfortable using online software, such as WordPress, Drip, Zoom, Later, and Slack.
- A strong communicator, open to collaborating on projects with a remote team, and responsive to emails and Slack messages.
- You are a self-starter who can identify ways that we should improve and streamline our operating systems.
- Comfortable hosting live events through Zoom
- Prior online marketing experience, including social media, is a plus.
Compensation is $35/hour, and applicants can expect to work between 8-10 hours/week. This is a remote position.
