Peter Pilotto: Spring 2012

This collection is of course, absolutely fabulous, but a big take away should once again be the lesson of contrast! The use of the illustrated rope/ palm tree motifs over the futuristic-ethnic inspired prints is just genius. It adds that element of fun to what is an amazing, but fairly serious collection of prints. The element of contrast can also be seen in the painted lace. The duo took an elegant lace and added a chunky, messy, painterly texture. I think the results are so inspiring!

Take some time to think about how you can begin to incorporate more contrast within your prints. I think you’ll be impressed with the results!
