Ethnic and Tribal inspired prints were ALL over the runway for Spring ’12. I love how the trend is moving past ikat (don’t get me wrong I love the ikat) and into a more “tribal” look, for lack of a better word. When working with this trend think past the blurry “ikat” look, and instead go for more natural inspired textures. Think dirty, think messy, think wood grains, think block prints. Have fun! I would love to see what everyone comes up with!!!
