Oscar Francis is a London-based design studio founded by Sarah Evans, that focuses on “bold modern graphic prints and patterns.” The line currently consists of art prints, greeting cards, fabrics for cushion covers and these fun tea towels that we are featuring today.

Sarah writes, “I am, by training a qualified architect and had been working in a fast paced office for 8 years since leaving university. I loved the challenge but the more responsibility I took on the less designing I seemed to do! I had twins at the end of 2011 and decided that I would go back to my roots (I had studied art and almost took this up at university instead of architecture). I re-taught myself how to use the sewing machine and began making things for my children. As I became more confident I started looking around for the kind of fabric I wanted to work with, I struggled to find prints with a more urban graphic and decided that I would begin to design my own.

That was over a year ago and I now have six pattern collections on my website. The patterns are heavily influenced and inspired by my love of architecture and aim to celebrate the ordinary, every day urban environment that makes up the backdrop of life in a city. The designs are, for the most part quintessentially British and are aimed at the design conscious city dweller.”

Check out the rest of the collections (“Terrace” and “Modern” are two of my favorites, but they are all lovely!) at oscarfrancis.co.uk.
