Claudia Owen is a surface pattern designer based in Canberra, Australia. She has a background in graphic design but “somewhere along the way I fell in love with the world of surface pattern design and now that’s all I want to do!”
“For the last couple of months I’ve been busy working on a collection of silk scarves that are GOTS approved (Global Organic Textile Standard) and eco friendly. The collection is comprised of six different designs and each design is bright and they reflect my love of patterns, colours and textures. I also designed a number of matching accessories to go with the scarves such as phone covers, throw pillows, stationery items and lots of other fun products.
This is my first collection of eco friendly scarves (I’m already planning my second collection.) I’m hoping people will appreciate having fashionable eco friendly scarf options.
This year I will have some of my work at the Hong Kong Houseware Fair, Canton Fair in China as well as Surtex. Exciting times ahead!”
