Inside the Studio: Tie Dye

On July 16th & 17th, Pattern Observer Studio will be exhibiting for the second time at Premiere Vision New York, and we are excited to bring a gorgeous variety of new tie dye patterns to the show! This trend keeps popping up everywhere we look and was our most requested pattern style when we attended Premiere Vision this past January. Last month we put out a call to our Textile Design Lab members to contribute tie dye designs to our studio portfolio and we received some absolutely stunning options based on these two trend directions:

  • A trendy 1990’s/early 2000’s “festival” look which is geared toward a younger customer in their teens to 20’s. Incorporating bright rainbow colors to give a hippie vibe, or paired with black to add a bit more of an edge and attitude.
  • A softer, sophisticated, artistic look. This is a more muted, earthier palette that evokes rust dyeing or other natural dyes that use leaves, flowers and spices. This trend works nicely for home decor in addition to fashion.

If you are attending Premiere Vision, please swing by booth K14 to see our full collection, or shoot us an email at info@patternobserver.com to get first pick of our patterns before the show!
