Cynthia Jacquette is a freelance surface designer/illustrator living in Los Angeles. With over 20 years of experience as a graphic designer, she shifted focus into surface design for the love of making repeat patterns and inventing silly characters. She now works with watercolor, gouache and digital media to create colorful, whimsical art for the stationery, gift and editorial markets. Her inspiration comes from vintage packaging, old shop signage, and all of the amazing plants and flowers in Southern California. Some of her work made the trip to Surtex in 2018 as part of Pattern Observer’s collection, but this is her first time showing in person! She will be showing lots of holiday illustrations and patterns along with florals and characters for the children’s market. Come meet Cynthia at booth #512!
