Michelle’s Nigerian heritage is central to her creative identity, shaping her love of color, expressive patterns, and cultural storytelling. Her work blends contemporary aesthetics with cultural influences to create versatile, commercially appealing designs. Michelle has 13+ years of experience in graphic design, branding, and digital design. She’s passionate about developing unique pattern collections and collaborating with brands through licensing and product design.
Through MICHEOLA, she is developing collections for fabric, quilting, fashion, and home décor. She is drawn to the way a pattern can give an everyday object personality, from a quilt to a favorite
piece of clothing. Michelle finds inspiration through travel, museums, cultural festivals, architecture, nature, and decorative arts. Outside of design, she enjoys exploring creative communities and learning new techniques. Her long-term goal is to build a globally recognized surface pattern design brand, collaborate with leading home décor and fashion companies, and create collections that celebrate culture, craftsmanship, and timeless design.
