Sara Castro Monteiro and The Sellable Sketch

Today we are thrilled to bring you the bright, bold and smile-inducing prints that Sara Castro Monteiro created for her “Leap Collection” during The Sellable Sketch course in the Textile Design Lab. “Strong colors and Bold Geometrics inspire me. Everything falls into place with these three elements. I love that I have created a collection that truly identifies my style for the Home Decor market.”

We have all experienced the struggles of carving out the time in your day for creative pursuits, but the challenge of fulfilling this task is amplified when caring for little ones! “Being a mom is hard, but it’s harder when you are filled with ideas and creativity and have small windows of opportunities to transform them into collections worth buying. The Sellable Sketch has guided me step by step into turning these precious moments into finished projects. It gave me a boost of energy that I really needed after having my second son. I can see how it has pushed me forward in achieving a great working method. I hope that in the near future I can sign with an agent!”
