British textile designer Sarah Joy Frost is a Textile Design degree graduate and is currently enrolled as a Postgraduate at Nottingham Trent University studying Textile Innovation. She is “researching and specialising in print and CAD CAM embroidery whilst pursuing her textile label, Sarah Joy.

Sarah Joy collections combine traditional yet contemporary sophisticated design elements together, to produce unique pieces of wearable art on fabric. Each printed piece is individually designed from the basis of marks and photographic techniques, creating mixed media digital garments and accessories that are then hand finished with dyeing and embroidered embellishments on luxurious fabrics, such as bamboo silk. The label has a conceptual approach to design whilst remaining loyal to an ethos of authenticity, desirability and quality. Each Sarah Joy original is entirely unique.

The collections reflect the intrinsic qualities of the physical world beyond the surface and explores the superficial layers. The inspirations assimilate into designs that connect with the fabric to combine femininity with a dissonant edge.”

Sarah Joy products can be purchased on the Sarah Joy website and etsy, and Sarah is always on the lookout for new contacts and freelance work!
