Karen Mattiazzo studied fashion design and graphic design in São Paulo, Brazil. After graduating she spent almost a decade working with several South American studios and agencies as an Assistant Designer, Senior Graphic/Digital Designer, and Art Director. In 2019 she moved across the Atlantic to Manchester, England where she continued working in design as a freelancer for small companies.
Karen focused her illustration style and started a brand called Full Mistica where skulls and tropical magic collide. Full Mistica celebrates mystical collections, astrology, pagan themes, skulls, runes, and dark and light themes influenced by the seasons. She works with commissions and collaborations for illustration and pattern design projects that incorporate this theme. Karen’s skillset includes art direction, knowledge of fashion and graphic design, hand-drawn painting and illustrating, digital drawing and repeat production, Print On Demand products, and custom collaborations.
