Camouflage just won’t quit! In the past few seasons a bubbly, kinder version of camo has been seen across the runway and in stores worldwide, but for Fall the real deal seems to be back. The camouflage prints seen at Daryl K, Edun, Anna Sui, and LAMB have that “just down from the tree stand” look to them, which is interesting when printed on sheer fabrics or used for a super feminine silhouette.

The Fall shows are really blowing my mind and there are just so many prints to discuss! So..what can you expect from PATTERN OBSERVER in the next few weeks?

I think it will be interesting to look at trends by city..for example we saw some really cool camouflage prints in NY, but will we see them in London? So I plan on putting together mini trend reports for each city. But I also think it is valuable to see how a designer incorporates prints within a collection, so I will be posting key pieces from my favorite collections as well. Stay tuned and I hope that you enjoy the content. Here’s to a great week!
