July in the Textile Design Lab

Need some support and motivation during the busy summer season? Check out what’s happening inside our Textile Design Lab community. Remember, all courses, group-studies and events are free with your monthly or annual membership.

Ultimate Guide to Repeats

With more and more agents and studios requiring repeats, it’s become increasingly important to learn how to create higher quality repeats in less time.

In the Ultimate Guide To Repeats Group Study you’ll have access to a toolbox of techniques that you can use to create more interesting, professional repeats that agents, studios and clients are looking for in today’s market.

Emails are sent every Monday and Thursday, giving you three days to watch the video and complete the exercises. This group-study is designed to keep you motivated and feeling supported as you master repeats!

This five week event is FREE for all Textile Design Lab members and the first lesson will be released on Monday, July 15th. Learn more here.

TDL members at Premiere Vision NY

,We are thrilled to have the opportunity to present the work of many of our Textile Design Lab members at Premiere Vision NY on July 16 & 17! Our Studio Manager, Chelsea von Hasseln and our Licensing Agent, Melissa Schulz, will be in booth K14 representing the work of our TDL members alongside the work of our studio designers.

For the work being exhibited at this year’s PV, TDL members had certain requirements to meet in order for the opportunity. These requirements included: 1) Submitting their work to Textile Design Lab’s private forum; 2) Each design received a critique by the Lab’s team of expert designers; 3) Based on critique and feedback, the opportunity to submit work to the studio was offered; 4) After additional review of member’s artwork, the Pattern Observer Studio Team had to make the difficult decision of whether or not the pattern was a good fit for the Pattern Observer Studio library. The standards of the Pattern Observer Studio Team were high and it was a tough decision to turn away some amazing beautiful work. Pattern Observer Studio has an online library of patterns available to interested parties. Buyers can learn more here.
