Monthly Vignette: January 2014

Music by Joe Marson and The Satisfied Mind

Our January schedule was jam-packed full of amazing textile designers! We were so excited to share Susan Castillo’s ethereal photographic work, Emily Wagner’s fun and colorful hand-painted textiles, Ellie Cashman’s stunningly detailed “Dark Floral” wallpaper, and many more talented artists and beautiful patterns!

We also had some special excerpts taken from more in-depth posts from The Textile Design Lab–Sherry London took us step-by-step through the process of sketching for scanning, to get the most beautiful, workable scan. Aaryn Nutter walked us through the glitch trend that has been so big lately (and provided a full tutorial on how to achieve the look in The Lab!)

I hope you will enjoy this look back at last month’s features, and to explore them further, simply scroll down and click back through previous pages of the blog, or use the search bar. We have some wonderful features on the docket for February and look forward to sharing with you! Have a great month! -Chelsea
